Northwest | District 1

District 1 is located on the northwest side of San Francisco. Neighborhoods in this district include: the Richmond, Sea Cliff, Jordan Park/Laurel Heights, and Lake Street. This bustling multicultural area has access to the Presidio and a wide variety of eateries and shops. Flanked by Golden Gate Park and the Presidio, there is no shortage of green space options. Locals can easily walk to Golden Gate Park’s Stow Lake, the Japanese Tea Garden, and several renowned museums. At the Presidio, walkers and joggers can enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge at Crissy Field. Windsurfing and kite flying are also popular activities.
 
This area is known for its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, the sweeping headlands of Marin across the Golden Gate, and the open space of Lands End.
 
Large, gorgeous homes can be found throughout the district, especially in the Sea Cliff neighborhood, with its massive multimillion-dollar homes and expansive, manicured lawns. Older custom homes reflect a fondness for Spanish Mission, French Beaux-Arts, English Tudor, and Normandy-style chalets. Lincoln Park is a big attraction in the area with its immaculate golf course, and the beautiful Legion of Honor.
