Central North | District 6

District 6 is located in the Central North portion of San Francisco. Neighborhoods in this district include: Anza Valley, Hayes Valley, Lower Pacific Heights, Western Addition, Alamo Square, and North Panhandle. 
 
This area is known for its vibrant atmosphere, shopping, restaurants, and some of the city’s oldest homes. District 6 houses some of the city’s historic Victorians, including the famed Painted Ladies. Anchored by the imposing high-culture edifice of the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center (housing the San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera, and San Francisco Symphony), this area is the center for arts and culture in the city.
